I'm Eric Kalenze, and Gawker Slowdown is the name I've given my little musical hobby. While I'm currently in a state of semi-retirement from music, I still write and play out occasionally. All songs on this site were written, performed, and recorded by me in my Twin Cities basement.

Lyrics
in the blistering sun he had white shirtsleeves and a pair of black fingerless gloves he got up on the hood of a curbside car began shouting from the pages of a well-worn book my first thought went to the good carpenter 'would you look what you've done, i think you broke another one' as i stared a little longer at the purpose in his eyes i wondered who was the broken one after all though i couldn't hear the words he was sayin' through the traffic and the onlookers' laughs i could see that he truly believed in something while i was truly sitting on my ass useless behind the glass
