Just a rainy afternoon messing around in the studio with a box drum. Doesn't take much to entertain an old sailor. It's amazing what you can do with a table saw, some wood and a little glue. I built two box drums this past winter.

This is a sample sound bite of the Prototype 1 Box Drum. This drum has 9 separate striking panels, 3 in front and 3 on either side. The side panels vary in width for different tones. You play this box drum by sitting on it and playing with your hands/fingers. On this sound bit I am only playing the six side panels.
