Story behind the song
I'd been working with this song among some of the others for this album over a year before Oblivion45. this was once again an instrumental track that I desperately wanted lyrics for. I'd been in therapy for middle age anxiety, ocd, and a little depression I suppose. this song has great personal meaning for me. The lyrics were written and and added in March 2008 a year after the songs intial sessions. May someone else find a way out with this song as I did.

Positive Remains 2007/2008 Music & lyrics: John D Johnson 1) Accepting the situation You find yourself in Prefer to fall on your sword than to combat within (1st Chorus) All the luggage you held on Defines the problem not the goal Look beyond the grip to see there all that All that positive remains 2) Toxic, gloomy voices communing Their adversity I thank this life for all the growth and opportunity (2nd Chorus) Transforming fear into love Conscience, higher power, soul You cannot solve equations you dont own Visualize with confidence (Bridge 1) Throw off those chains of reason Never did you no good Commune with your sacred voice and.. See the dark for what it is solo 1 (Bridge 2) Communing the sacred voices Thank life for all there is Throw off those chains of reason Embrace the growth you now own solo 2 3rd Chorus Toxic voices had their say Define the problem not the goal Look beyond the grip of fear to see that.. All that positive remains
