Demo of electric cello - 5-string Todd Keehn with RMC pickups - through effects, based on a Pat Metheny tune. Effects devices: EHX HOG and Roland VG-99 (mono input only).
Story behind the song
HOG was used to sort of fake Metheny's 12-string guitar for the chords. For the lead part, the HOG was used in Filter mode (variation of wah). VG-99 was set to tremelo with some delay for the chords, then a straight up Fender Twin model for the clean part of the lead, then a Fat OD pedal model into Fender Tweed amp model for the dirty part.
