I am a 38 year old bloke who had never written a song, played a guitar or sung on stage at the age of 36, now I can't stop.
Ahoy there, welcome to the secret underground lair of the Scarletlancer. I sing in a band that is, currently called 'Er Indoors, but that is subject to change at any moment. This page will be home to my demos and ideas for songs that will be played by the proper musicians in the band at a later date. For the moment what you hear is my below average guitar playing and decent(ish) voice combining to create something of an audio sketcheroo. I hope that you enjoy (or at least leave unscathed by) my songs.

Lyrics
Evel Knievel Every boy of the right age knows your name Hours spent, playing you at your own game A hundred thousand spokes bent out of line A million home made ramps to your design Step aside girls admire the way I fly Watch my two wheels become one with the night sky Butte Montana to the river Thames From Harley to Raleigh is a major leap But I'm right back there again When I close my eyes and drift away to sleep Sky cycle soaring through the air Snake River Canyon or my mum and dad's back stairs Dare devil deeds these days just aint the same Don't try to fob me off with David Blaine A skinny fella in a box on hunger strike Don't have the romance of a head case on a dirt bike Butte Montana to the river Thames From Harley to Raleigh is a major leap But I'm right back there again When I close my eyes and drift away to sleep Four hundred broken bones And a small boy's broken dreams The spirit of adventure's been snuffed out Mitigating risk is what it's all about When did that big wide world at a young boy's feet Get overtaken by the figures on a balance sheet When did the maverick heroes of a childhood age Become the soulless fodder of the front page
