MURPHY'S LORE c. Osofsky/Siegel 2009
We first had Job there in the bible
His life a struggle for survival
God pushed him til he couldn't take any more
In modern times it's much the same
Another place, a different name
When things go wrong now, that's what Murphy's for
Somewhere along the way Murph disappeared
And no one's seen that poor, sad man in years
But, Murphy's livin'in a twenty million dollar mansion
Overlooks the ocean in the Northern Cali hills
Every night there's pretty girls at poolside dancin'
Drinkin' champagne outta crystal glasses that are always filled
Life couldn't be any better, that's for sure
Thanks to "Murphy's Lore"
Cause one day Murphy saw the light
Got a patent and a copyright
Started sellin' stuff on Ebay and in stores
Bumper stickers, shirts and books
A couple years was all it took
As owner, CEO of "Murphy's Lore"
The days of pain and suffering are gone
But Murphy keeps the legend living on
While Murphy lives in a twenty million dollar mansion
Overlooks the ocean in the Northern Cali hills
Every night there's pretty girls at poolside dancin'
While he lights eight inch Cubans up with dollar bills
Life couldn't be any better, that's for sure
Thanks to "Murphy's Lore"
