Lyrics
"Houn Dawg" By Olivia Francis (c) 2009 BMI ~ARR~ I've got an old houn dawg whose bark is worse than his bite Well, I got me an old houn dawg who has a bark worse than his bite He wake me early every mornin and keep me up late every night My old houn dawg he follow me wherever I lead, yeah he do You know my old houn dawg follow me wherever I lead, over here boy 'Cause he know who fry the bacon and spread toast wit butter and jelly You know, my Old houn dawg, he always tried and true, yeah, when he wanna be As long as you don't ask him, hey houn dawg what is it you really do When you out late at night runnin' up and down the streets alone with the boys Well he turn and look at me wit dim big brown eyes And whimper...hey baby, I love you Most dawgs chase rabbits, skunks 'n cats But my dawg chase skirts every time I turn my back So I make him sleep out in the dawg house And boy, does he howl over that But that the way it go when you ain't nutin' but an old houn dawg! Yeah! Sometime me and my old houn dawg are best of friends And other times I'd rather not even look at him But when he smother me wit kisses I always let him back in Then he gets so excited he starts slobberin' And then I say hey baby come on in the kitchen I'll fry ya up some bacon and butter your toast with jelly Mmmmmmmmm...that sure tastes good. Honey, can ya make me another piece? Well I got me an old houn dawg whose bark is worse than his bite Come on over here houn dawg and sit down next to me Yeah! My old houn dawg has a bark worse than his bite He wakes me early every mornin and keeps me up late every night

Well-produced. Nice bluesy vibe. Especially like the animated vocals and captivating lyrics especially since they hit at a literal and a figurative level.
