The Burning Hour is a five-part musical ensemble from Southern Pines, North Carolina. All of the members are just sophomores in high school, but have been playing and performing music for nearly their entire lives. Myles, Dillon, Todd, Chris, and Robert have known and worked with each other for many years. We all love the metal/hardcore genre, but it certainly has its imperfections. It seems like more and more, metal bands are focusing only on breakdowns and gruesome lyrics, and are forgetting the musicianship and beauty of the style. Though we are young, we are experienced musicians. Our music brings the ingenuity and melody back to heavy music, while preserving the hardcore breakdowns we have all grown to love. Innovation and progression are tremendously important to us. As we see it, music is really just a forum for thoughts and emotions. What good are these thoughts if they are all stale and alike? Music should mature and develop, just as the mind does. This principle is apparent in all of our works. We keep our compositions extremely interesting and distinctive. No two songs sound the same. That is what we, as a band, are all about. The Burning Hour is still on its way up, but the band is moving exceptionally fast. New songs are being composed and recorded every day, and the boys perform live as frequently as possible. The Burning Hour has a long and full future ahead.
