Story behind the song
Evan Schafer - drum loop, piano, bass, electric guitar, vocals "All Nighter" was a difficult track to both write and complete, and not because my equipment faltered, but rather because emotions overtook me during the writing process. I was in a conflict with myself after the song was complete about whether or not it would actually show up on the record - whether it was too personal of an insight to who I really am. Basically, I didn't know if I was okay with everybody hearing my deepest, darkest secrets coming out in poetry. Nevertheless, it ended up on the album, and I couldn't be happier that I made the right decision. Also, to lighten the mood a bit, I gave the infamous keyboard line from my BOT song "Step By Step By Nine" a cameo at the very end of this track.
