Kind of interesting that a 3-year old (Arwen, my grand-daughter) would name her doll Crying Rain!

Story behind the song
New Year's Day 2009. My son and I talked...Arwen came to the phone and mumbled something about her doll...Kevin said Arwen was telling me the name of her doll was Cryin' Rain. Hence this song!
Lyrics
Cryin’ Rain
© Stan Loh January 2, 2009 Dedicated to my grand-daughter, Arwen, who called her doll “Crying Rain”
Verse 1
She picked the pieces from the floor,
Sayin’ Dolly, don’t cry any more,
I know it hurts,
These were her words,
But soon I’ll dance with you again, Cryin’ Rain.
I’ll put gold dust on your blouse,
And the track lights in your house,
And soon I’ll dance with you again, Cryin’ Rain.
Cry…Cry…Cry…Cryin’ Rain, Cryin’ Rain
Verse 2
Her dad was peeking from the door,
Knowin’ her tears can’t be ignored,
When darkness came,
With still refrain,
He took the pieces and sewed them on again, Cryin’ Rain.
Through the night a new suit of gold,
Silken threads that China sold,
And soon his daughter will smile again, Cryin’ Rain.
Cry…Cry…Cry…Cryin’ Rain, Cryin’ Rain
Instrumental
Verse 3
The mornin’ calm met shrieks of joy,
Cryin’ Rain is now a brand new toy,
My prayers came true,
My friend renewed,
Oh you said He would come to please me again, Cryin’ Rain.
Through the night I heard Him sew,
Beams of light I saw the glow,
Now I’ll dance and sing with her again, Cryin’ Rain.
Cry…Cry…Cry…Cryin’ Rain, Cryin’ Rain
Outro
