Pause Written & Performed by S. De Bolster. Produced by Lowercase & Mixed by S. De Bolster. Recorded at the "Nothing Fucking Works"-studio on 23/11/2003. © 2003 ~ Poetic Flow. Setting the settings of this scenery... Sitting at this park bench surrounded by greenery Wind rustling through the vivid restless leaves Breathing in fresh oxygen as this tree trunk heaves Playful birds chirping their happy musical notes One is stretching his wing in the sun as he floats Another one is sitting on a branch looking down at my writing hand Would he literally be looking down at those who're bounded to land? Or would he marvel at our grace as we walk across this place I ask him which is the case but he throws a riff in my face Suddenly my gaze shifts to a beautiful woman passing by Marveled by her beauty as the sun reflects in her exotic eyes A red pants tightly wrapping the curves of her heavenly thighs Complemented by a black top which seems to hold her Long dark brown hair gently caressing her shoulders waving on the rhythm of the wind and her little footsteps Playing a tune in this symphony that we like to call life She sits in front of me making this park look alive She sighs and seems intrigued by the rhyme book I'm scribbling in I’m glancing at her with a grin ~ her playful smile warming me within A game erupts ~ throwing glances at each other and quickly look away It's time to get back to work but I really wanna stay We sit quietly since there’s nothing left to say And with one last look we agree to meet again Some other day... Reflecting all this at the bench where I write these rhymes from My pen scribbling this paper on it's own since my minds numb. ... and I smile as I see her approaching again. Singing outro (2x): You know it's time to pause from this life. You know that I always seem to strive to find another meaning in my being.
