Slow love song for my current wife.
Story behind the song
I wrote and recorded this in 1994 about my wife Nancy. I never cared for the way it turned out but I hope it's the thought that really counts!
I remember going down to my studio, "Meaty Music Recording Studio" with my son Bryan to show him some of this stuff and we ended up writing and recording this that day. Well, I did - he watched and was probably bored out of his skull.

=======================================
I can't give you diamond rings
I can't take you away
On a tropical island cruise
I can't hire the metro opera
To sing Happy Birthday Nancy to you
I can't write your name in the sky
Or fly you off to Rio
For a weekend in the sand
These are the things that you should do
And darling if I could I'd give them all to you
I can't hide what I feel anymore
What I feel for you
You can take all you want of my love
It's all for you
We don't live in Beverly Hills
And I'm no movie star
No matter how hard I try
We don't drink vintage champagne
Our Oldsmobile ain't no Ferrari
Our wedding rings ain't solid gold
That pedigreed cat wandered into our back yard
Sometimes the times they do get tough
That's when we thank the Lord for our credit card
These are the things that we have
But darling don't you know that they come from my heart
I can't hide what I feel anymore
What I feel for you
You can take all you want of my love
It's all for you
I can't give you diamond rings
I can't take you on a tropical island cruise
I can't hire the metro opera
To sing Happy Birthday Nancy to you
No I may not give you all these things
But there's one thing that I can do
I give all my love to you
You can take all you want of my love
It's all for you
I can't hide what I feel anymore
What I feel for you
You can take all you want of my love
It's all for you
I can't hide what I feel anymore
What I feel for you
