Slow, mellow song about a relationship that's ended.
Story behind the song
I wrote this in May 1994 (or at least I recorded it then), probably about a combination of an ex-wife and an imagined relationship gone bad.
At the time I was listening quite a bit to Clapton's Journeyman CD and this is one of the songs I wrote while under EC's spell. Another song from the same time is "This 'Ol Heart", also posted here on SoundClick.
Written and recorded in Coos Bay, Oregon.

=======================================
She's just a woman
That I used to know
She told me she loved me
So long ago
But it's over
I still see her
Everytime I close my eyes
I still hear her voice
In the middle of the night
But it's over
And though I try
It's just to hard for me
To forget the love we had
And erase the memory
It's over
I go on and do the best that I can
But it's not over for me
I know she's gone, living in her promised land
But it's not over for me
I keep trying, trying to understand
But it's not over for me
Life is big, too big to comprehend
But it's not over for me
It's not over for me
