Story behind the song
This song I wrote while we were in Forrest Green Studio once I realized for certain that the band would not survive. The only guitar that I could get to sound right was a $40.00 K-Mart.
Lyrics
These feelings we have, those feelings, we cant explain away, and singing so sad, were feeling so glad, don't think we had it made, time travels on, you will hear the song, don't think we haven't paid, please laugh aloud, don't be so proud, you wrap a shroud, around your heart, to read the signs, the powers of your mind, still though you'll be so kind. right from the start, soon be time to go, and we won't close the show, with what we still want to say, were living life as one, hope know one spoils the fun, we just might see a brighter day, we all must take the blame, and take away the shame, I'm sure we'll have it made, please laugh aloud, don't be so proud, you wrap a shroud, around your heart, to read the signs, the powers of your mind, still though you'll be so kind, right from the start, this music that we play, these words that we say, don't have to be the same, to mean the same, this love that we feel, and moments you did steal, I'm sure were not the same, your children carry on, with the freedoms you have won, you know it's not in vain, please laugh aloud, don't be so proud, you wrap a shroud, around your heart, to read the signs, the powers of your mind, still though you'll be so kind, right from the start.
