Nice, melodic and pretty commercial song." Here in the dark I'll be Only the Lonely"...LOL!...No,I know it's "always" not "Only"...but it has such a strong assosiation with Orbison's style and hit.I'm hearing' you're discovering joys of MIDI ??
If,so,-that's the way to go.Latency issues is one thing that take time to handle, but in other respects it's incredible possibilities' opener.
Song, overally, will benefit from tightenin' up ,-backing track.Vocals are great.

Dave,
This track has loads of potential. Your penetrating and highly emotional lyrics soar above almost anything else out there today. Your trademark weepy guitars and melancholy vocals lock the listener in as they drink in those fabulous lyrics. "Confess my careless heart" - wow. What a great line.
I have a problem with the bass playing which seems to wander in and out of the chord patterns. Besides that, this is one of your best efforts.
You will have more luck getting a "Best of..." CD out of Tony. I stopped making CDs in 2005. You can download any JP tracks you want and burn a CD of tracks you like. Or if you want I can burn you one. Honestly, you are the only person in recent memory who has even asked me for one.
Congrats on getting the car fixed!!!! On the road again!

Ok, you did it again!
From the first few notes I'm teleported back to the 70's and my discovery of pop music! It has the same feel that "Hello, It's Me", or "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" gave me then and still do to this day! I love your intricate piano parts, and your vocals fit the feel of the song perfectly. Nice fitting guitar work also, especially the muted chording. The minor notes at the end of the choruses sold me right away!
Great work David!

Hey David! :)
Won't you tell people you got a new song uploaded? I know you sent me a mix to critique, but that don't always mean you're gonna upload it! LOL!
I love this..this is SO beautiful! :) Your guitar work is always so amazing..the song is so sad, but I hear the shades of Roy Orbison. :D
NICE JOB, and 5 stars are just not enough!

Hi Dave,
Love the Piano on this one and the guitar working with it. Lyrics are very sad and universally appealing. Lonsome princess? Not sure who that is. She helped very nicely though. Very pretty melody. You always take your vocals in unexpected directions with your inflections.
That is one of the things that makes your music so unique.
Great work!
David This a beautiful production and well-written song. Love the effects on the vocals. Great job.
