This song is a toast to all the unsung heroes out there, the people who do more than they need to, the folks who are friendly, considerate, kind, and compassionate.

Sweet Big Time is a collective venture between singer/composer twin brothers, Mitch and Mark Flanagan, and lyricist Tommy Ogren. Also singing are Jennifer Flanagan and Mary Rose "Rosie" O'Leary. We like to write lots of upbeat, fun music with lyrics that often explore the fun and magic in our lives that is all too often overlooked or taken for granted. We also do a good number of original western songs to appeal to the cowboy or cowgirl in any of us.

Story behind the song
I was sitting in the Social Security office...was a very long wait. The people coming to the counter were being trashed, many of them leaving in tears. The workers at the office seemed amazingly heartless. Like they just didn't give a damn. I started thinking about all the kind, good people I so often meet in the course of the day...the people who make life worth living...and I wrote the lyrics to: A Toast to the Folks Who Do the Most, on the back side of a SS office form.
Lyrics
The Folks Who Do the Most @Ogren/Flanagan 2008 Let’s raise a toast, to the folks who do the most Let’s give a hand, to those who say “I can.” Hip, hip hooray They’re those unsung heroes we meet most every day The ones who work hard & are willing to stay To do the work that others shun, And then stick with it until the job is done Here’s to them willing to go that extra mile They’re quick with their help & ready with a smile They pick up the trash, that they didn’t drop And at the end of the day, they’re the last ones to stop These are the people who hold the door open for you They’re the ones who bother to stop and let you in They’re the ones who say ‘Bless you!” when you sneeze And they’re familiar with the words, thank you and please These are the folks who make the world work right The ones who don’t run at the first hint of fight They’ve a lot to brag about, but they seldom boast So, Let’s raise a toast, to the folks who do the most We’ve all known people who are just like this And when they’re gone they’re the ones we most miss So let’s show them our appreciation Hip, hip, hooray!!
