A one-man-band with all-original material, writing, composing and performing since 2005.
My name is Evan Schafer. I am an independent (or "indie") musician with a strong grounding in traditional composition, but I like to think my material always has a unique and individual flair. I guarantee not being bored out of your gourd when turning on one of the records. I produce, mix, and engineer everything myself, and have done so since late 2005.

Story behind the song
Evan Schafer - piano, drums, synthesizers, vocals I wrote the main chord progression for "Full of Doubt" very quickly. Believe it or not, the inspiration came from the synthesizer solo which I added as a 'hidden track' to close the album completely. The solo was written as an adjunct to another song from an album that never came to fruition a few years ago, so I decided to have it close "Morse Code" since it fit the bill quite well, and also since it was in the same key. The lyrics were once again focused on my father, but this time around, more about the feelings I had about the situation at hand.
Lyrics
Are you telling me the truth? I can see right through you Are you being very clear? I am smarter than you can be It seems to me We're full of doubt About all the things We've said and done Seconds pass Days flash In front of our eyes And we begin to feel Like nothing really matters A rotating wheel of fortune Mastermind of something And forgetter of everything
