A one-man-band with all-original material, writing, composing and performing since 2005.
My name is Evan Schafer. I am an independent (or "indie") musician with a strong grounding in traditional composition, but I like to think my material always has a unique and individual flair. I guarantee not being bored out of your gourd when turning on one of the records. I produce, mix, and engineer everything myself, and have done so since late 2005.

Story behind the song
Acoustic guitar, vocals, tape effects - Evan Schafer This song is what I like to call my "high on LSD" song. For this track, I simply recorded a guitar track, a vocal track, and then double-tracked both of them, adding a whole bunch of reverb (more than I ever have to a track) to the four existing tracks. This gave the track a very ethereal and distant feeling to it, but when I wrote the song, from the start it always had a very magical feeling to it. So, fortunately, it was the same when recording and mixing, even though it's relatively short.
Lyrics
A misty garden in a morning tide Off the ocean just a few miles down the road What does all of this mean to you? Is it the end of life as we know it? Canned chatter sitting inside a box Voices no one can identify Soundless and speechless words From the mouths of shapeless figures
