The Old and the New - Acoustic Celtic and folk music
We are a musical trio from Texas who have a love for Irish music. Whether or not our own music reflects that is yours to decide, but in general our songs are acoustic and sometimes include uncommon instruments such as psalteries and harps. We mostly sing in English, but we have a few songs in Latin, Greek, and Spanish as well.

Story behind the song
You will notice this is a markedly pessimistic song--the viewpoint is that of someone who has been exiled from their native country for many years and can still find no satisfaction in their current home.
Lyrics
Cogito prata pulchra patriae Fluviosque dulces floresque Memini nostrum otium felix Pridem iam Though I dwell in this country I would it were not so I am longing for my homeland Where I once lived long ago Sweet reflections bring to memory Happy moments, golden years But ‘twere vain to go back thither All my friends have gone, I fear I am thinking of the meadows Where my early years were spent I remember happy times there Before our ties were rent Life has come, life is fleeing Just like a breath of wind What have I to show for toil? Truly all good things must end.
