Story behind the song
Acoustic guitar, vocals - Evan Schafer "Morse Code" (the album) turned out to be a very poignant album of inner feelings and deep revealing for me. The lyrics for "Time You Have Left" came at a very crucial time for me when my father was in the midst of changing jobs and was unable to pay for child support (although he denies to this day that he didn't have the money when he actually did). Just listen to the track and you'll hear exactly what I'm talking about. Oh, and experimented very lightly with reverb on the guitar and the lead/harmony vocal tracks.
