Ah an old bar buddy I watched him spin down really fast which led to me not wanting to end up the same way.I told him I could no longer drink with him and walked away.........He went to DETOX and an outpatient rehab and now a year and a half later he lives with me and we attend the same church and have bible studies on tuesday night.......The bible say no greater is he that he who gives a life for a friend......That "life" may be a lifestyle and if we can walk away from it that may be the greatest example of love there is.....ponder that for a bit......
