Started back in summer of 2001, Shadowstate is an electronic industrial band, based near Akron, Ohio that carries a retro-80 industrial style influence reminicent of Front Line Assembly and Skinny Puppy. Because we believe today's industrial and EBM music is all starting to sound the same, Shadowstate continues to try and achieve that early-industrial soundscape into new material for the 21st century like no one else does.

Story behind the song
A WuTang song once had a rap lyric say "memories of injuries, wounds, and burns." I got to thinking he may have ment a "scar"? I dunno. What is a scar? Doesn't it remind you of a past injury?
