Hope I guessed the genre right this time. Takes a while to get the groove up to full speed.

Electronica with a little bit of everything else thrown in.
My older work is mostly MIDI based, 99% composed with a mouse by clicking notes onto a digital score. My newer work is more mixed-media, including both fairly standard MIDI work as well as recorded sections from acoustic and electric instruments.

Story behind the song
...the return of "that piano thing." I think this is basically what I've been trying to do with the last couple of electronica pieces I had a go at. The synths were a @#$%^ to get in sync. And yes, I was at a loss for a title. There was some insistance prior to sticking the track online that I use it to kick off a new album, which would make it nice to have a series of related titles. Serveral alternatives that came up: - Banjo in A-minor (my boyfriend's fault) - Googly Ball in A-minor (my boyfriend's fault) - Blue Crab Waltz (ha, verry funny...also my boyfriend's fault) - Memoirs of a Flamboyant Cuttlefish (...wtf? Well, I guess it could've worked...o_0) ...and then finally settling on a chemical reaction from which I can make a reaction series. I passed o-chem on friggin decarboxylation...it was a love-hate relationship. The idea of using a reaction series for titles was proposed by one person here and several others independently elsewhere. I'm just finally getting around to it.
