Rafael Alejandro (Born Rafael Alejandro Ginebra) aka Alphabetical has been an actor, singer & underground rapper since his adolescent years. Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1983, he is of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent, by blood. He grew up in Weehawken, New Jersey, in the shadow of the Manhattan skyline, but also was heavily influenced by his childhood summers spent in the city of Chicago. He proved to be a young child prodigy, scoring in the 99th percentile on many of his early testings. He was educated at an early age at schools in Hoboken (The Mustard Seed School & The Hudson School) both known for their strong arts programs and high admissions standards for the gifted & talented. Alejandro soon stood out as a highly skilled young actor/singer/performer. He received his high school education from St. Peter's Preparatory School in Jersey City, NJ, where he was the second freshman in school history to secure a lead role in a school musical production (the first being Prep alum Nathan Lane). That year, despite being of Latino origin, he portrayed Tony in West Side Story, and met much local critical acclaim. After years of success in Prep productions, Alejandro was accepted to Syracuse University's College of Visual & Performing Arts prestigious Acting Conservatory program (among the most highly touted in the northeast). He was among 60 students accepted into the Fall 2001 freshman class. He received the highest marks possible on his audition reports from professors after he performed monologues from the Greek tragedy "Madea" by Euripides, and the contemporary gangster play "Police Boys" by Marion Isaac McClinton, which displayed his spectacular range as an aspiring thespian. But being away from home his first semester proved overly challenging, especially after the World Trade Center fell on September 11th, 2001. He took time off to pursue his music until he later transferred to Monmouth University in 2003, where he studied under Ron Frangipane at the Music Department. At Monmouth, he learned music theory, history and the odds & ends of the music industry. He proved to be one of Frangipane's brightest young students. When he wasn't in class, he was working hard to develop his rap voice. He also continued in his theatrical pursuits, obtaining significant roles in all the productions for which he auditioned. Alejandro left Monmouth to pursue a career in Hudson County's underground hip hop game. He quickly found himself recollaborating with childhood friend Paul Cruz, who was making a name for himself under the pseudonym Paulie Hussle. Years ago, as teenagers, the two planted the roots for what would become Gritty Records & Real Deal Radio in Union City, NJ, with Cruz being the eventual founder/CEO holding the reigns of the company. Alphabetical proved to be one of Cruz's most valuable and skilled artists. Bringing a style of conscious rap driven by high intellect and strong views. 20 of the projected 26 underground tracks of his mix tape album Alpha/Omega is available to you now for free download. Though the project was never fully completed, there should be enough for you to enjoy and share. New developments (as of July 2016): Alpha/Omega is currently being re-recorded and re-engineered so that it can be properly completed. Alpha/Omega by Alphabetical is currently being developed as a 3 man rap opera (plus live band, background singers & a hip hop dance troupe) that tells the story of a rap artist who sells his soul to the devil to be rich and famous in the music industry (based on the legend of Blues player Robert Johnson). He then proceeds to alienate his friends and family after achieving fame, and is left trying to pickup the pieces in old age, before his final judgment.
