There's nothing wrong with havin' the blues. After a gray day when the clouds go away, what's left? Shades of blue.

We feel that the original songs that we play offer our audience the opportunity to connect or at least consider getting connected with God.
I started writing songs at 14. I fell in love at 20, she was 19. I got married at 23 and then divorced 10 months later. At 24 I tried to commit suicide. Obviously, I failed. At 25 I fell in love again, this time with a man. A man who understood all of my pain and all of my shame. He showed me that I was so incredibly valuable that he was willing to give up his own life that I might live, forever. At first I found it hard to believe but, then little miracles started happening like my wife and I getting reconciled and remarried in 1988. Our son being born in '94 and our daughter in '99. And now, songs pour from a heart that is very grateful to the unmistakable and undeniable Grace that belongs to none other than Jesus Christ.

Lyrics
Does it really matter now If you go north or south Just so long as you can prove You're headed somewhere Do you find it hard to see Past the clouds of disbelief Do you have a foggy view Do you wonder what's ahead for you But, the future's not yours to see Well if, life was always black and white Then everything would always be alright But sometimes it comes out in shades of gray And pours down on you When the rain makes the colors run You keep on prayin' till you see the sun Then dry your eyes 'cause there's a rainbow Shinin' through, only for you There's just one gaurantee 'Bout what the weather in life will be Sometimes it fades to shades of blue Do you really care to know What direction you should go And do you think that it might prove You're headed somewhere When you look up at the sky Do you ever wonder why You get the feelin' you're not alone You get a good look at the ray of hope That's been there for you to hold Repeat Chorus You're never gonna know The moment before lighting strikes Oh the thunder may roar But, it won't bite So put your pretty little umbrellas away It ain't gonna do ya no good today because Sometimes it fades to shades of blue Repeat chorus
