Singer/songwriter, Indie self-recorded: Wm Perry writes & performs tight, well-crafted songs. Honest & not boring, sometimes disturbing, with jangled-y edges. T
"I approach the writing of songs as if it's the only tool I have, with which to do something I don't understand." BIOGRAPHY: Failed. Kept moving. Your typical starving artist story. BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago, followed by several years in the Sign Industry. Front man in a multitude of short-lived bands, playing in clubs and warehouses in Chicago and LA's artsy, marginal war-zone neighborhoods. Now solo artist, self-recording. Bought a cheap, old house on Craig's List (without seeing it first!) and moved from Chicago to Cincinnati, an "economic refugee" you could say. Now completing renovations that make four floors of combined living/studio space and working on new music.

Lyrics
Mechanical Arm - William McGuffey Perry I didn’t listen to what you said Talking like I was dead I ‘d end up back flat on the carpet Marching backwards through my head Run and mark the high spot In your back yard Where your cold wave finally Broke down into routine Manoeuvers for position or a free pass Or shelter from comedy I went out and threw And I caught everything An arsenal of funny Circumstances can do Ain’t I seen Your shadow on my machine? I thought that it was me Reflected in the screen I don’t mind being wrong But it’s too bad being right At the same time all along I’ll bet the view Is pretty good Looking out your window with you But it’s better here with me Miles away and you’re too small to see Ain’t I seen your shadow on my machine? I thought it was me reflected in the screen Ain’t I seen your shadow on my machine?
