I stumbled on a lonely road as I headed home one night
Where the dead arose to greet me, between the darkness and the light
Many who are dead and gone have walked this road like me
They've had that lonely feeling too, so they keep you company.
Dont be afraid oh no.
Don't be afraid of the howling or the echo that you hear
Its only the sound of your buddies howling through the years
Moons are there to howl too frogs they keep the beat
Nocturnal creatures sing along with dogs who cannot sleep
Dont be afraid oh no
The owls they know the lyrics the crickets know the tune
And when the pylons start to hum the silence starts to croon
You'll see the branches swaying to the music in the breeze
The leaves begin to rustle and dance among the trees
Dont be afraid oh no
And as the lightening flashes to the thunderous roar of drums
Nature roars your not alone and then the raindrops come
They splash upon your hatless head and trickle down your shoes
Clear your throat and howl it out its nothin but the blues
Dont be afraid oh no
