Whether it's videos, choreography, or music production, this Alabama
native is bringing his own style to the entertainment game that is sure to grab your
attention.
At the early age of 6, you would have never guessed that this shy, hazel eyed,
mama's boy would ever set foot on a stage, let alone stand in front of the camera.
Growing up Zell watched as his parents took to the road, presenting the
contemporary Christian music group ZAC (Zaundra and Anthony in Christ) to
colleges, churches', and organizations throughout Alabama and Georgia. His father
would do dramatic signing coupled with modern dance while his mother would sing.
Z would operate the portable stage lights/music and occasionally dance on stage
with his father, but he still shied away from being in the spotlight.
At the age of 12 Zell began to take an interest in the arts after watching artist such
as Usher and Michael Jackson. He soon began singing and dancing behind closed
doors until his father caught him practicing one day. His father saw the potential,
prayed for his talents to emerge, and soon after enrolled him in the summer
theatre arts program, Camp 3T(Teaching Through Theatre) at Alabama State
University under the direction of Dr. Tommie Stewart (the renowned television
actress on the award winning series " In the Heat of the Night" as Etta Kibbee).
During these summer sessions Z polished and showcased the talents he would
later use.
When he turned 17 he received his first studio equipment as a gift from his father,
and later that year released his first demo album, ZELL: From A-2-Z. Although he
didn't promote it, it was a producing/songwriting experience that would push him to
create his debut album Rhythm and Bass.
