A song written in 99-2000 that portrays and reveals some hints at my idealogy and action or mode of Life. The CD 'In a Poet's Stance' which this track is from, is a viewpoint, lensing of Life through the Mind of Jaemo, from then until now.

Story behind the song
This is a track I wrote back in 99-2000. It's a walk through my life and some of the scenes and Ideas that marked my growth and were meters to gauge my growth in the world as a Man. And yes this beat was created before the one Killa Priest used for his album "The Offering" was released.
Lyrics
Master Jaemo Higher Skies ( The World is a Ghetto ) Searching for the right beat, and the stars, sun and the moon Trying to find peace of mind, room by room Held together by stormy weather, strengthened by the struggle Two minutes in the Game, already a double double Yall in trouble, way past curfew you’re out of time You’re still throwing verses around, no reason or rhyme It’s the wrong season to be out here playing, you’re wasting time In the end money ain’t going to prevail Nigga, it’s all in the mind I guess in due time you’ll find out, mad cause your light done shined out It’s over Nigga, it’s the last drop, time out For foolishness, and Niggas walking around talking about stupidness We buying albums, playing them once, trashing like “What is this”! Chorus 2X In my free time I’m taking notes in this class called Life Working next to guys who don’t listen, can’t even read or write Afraid to leave the house at night, scared they’ll get in a fight With a brother they stepped over, get sliced from head to shoulders It’s hectic, layers of bull surround me like a force field Weeded out by the soul, separated from the real Even with a heart of steel, I can still feel when something’s spooky Can’t just listen to chitter chatter, it’s got to be real to move me No sense in fights amongst brothers, and strife amongst loved ones We’re in this fight together, pay attention to how the play runs You’re sleeping in class Nigga, envisioning fast figures, takes a little more to get there Remember the grass is thicker on the other side, trips are shorter when in another’s ride I’m escaping right or wrong, in search of higher skies. Chorus 2X We ain’t even in the same tent Nigga, I’m on another level Your tones dead weight like----- I’m grabbing the shovel Drop a couple of pounds of knowledge on you, see how you feel Peace of Mind or Diamonds Nigga, which one is real How you going to let them tell you what to say and how to say it What kind of beat to drop it on, when and where to lay it I know they dressing you up, breaking you off some, Got you getting all the credit, you can’t even write a song How you going to knock what I’m saying, You reach and I’ll teach I’ll blow past you, leave your homeboys laughing at you I’m on another level Chorus 2X I’m a witness and a victim of the Revelution, different stances The son of a jazz player, spirit enhances The blues kept my Life ticking, steady standing grown Rocking to the oldies, found the Light, now the ceilings gone Brothers saying the feelings gone, having no Life I’m hearing Niggas just saying stuff, having no right No respect for Life or living or even religion No love for the common man, verbal insicions I’m here to ease the drought Nigga Food for thought, This is the Story Of a Champion Who would have thought The Story of a Champion who uses Thought.
