Rex Reynolds plays Hawaiian and Romantic dancing songs. Some of these recordings are instrumental others include vocals, but all classics in their genre.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HAS BEEN DOWNLOADING MY MUSIC. I really can't believe that in the short time I have had my music available on Soundclick I have had so many thousands of visitors listening to my music. I'm really just coming to terms with the new technology that has given me the opportunity to play my music to a wider audience. I've got a real kick out of this and having heard from people around the globe I'm more than surprised that I have something that others seem to like. I've never been to Hawaii, but growing up in South Wales in the twenties and thirties I was listening and playing along to the big names that made Hawaiian music so popular. I was very fortunate to be in the company of some very fine musicians. I was in my early teens when I was encouraged to perform on stage playing with some very proficient dance bands. My trusty Hawaiian guitar was always with me and before long I was given spotlight exposure. Yes, you could say that music has been kind to me, and it has always kept bread on the table too. It is so wonderful to have a new audience in my later years. Please keep getting in touch - it makes my day ! Rex. Rex Reynolds has been a performer most of his years. Now he restricts his performances to just 2 or 3 a month. That same enthusiasm for the music he loves is still there, and whenever he appears on stage with his band he is at his happiest. In recent years Rex has converted his conservatory to a small recording studio and has become quite adept at re-creating the sounds he loves from the comfort of his home. From big band numbers to the orchestral favourites from the shows, Rex records his own versions and ideas. All of the musical parts are played by Rex. He is a real musician of the old school. Listen out for the romantic melodies of the Hawaiian Guitar, the brooding Sax, and see if you can work out how many musical instruments Rex is playing.

Lyrics
First you put your two knees close up tight Then you sway 'em to the left, then you sway 'em to the right, Step around the floor kind of nice and light, Then you twis' around and twis' around with all your might, Stretch your lovin' arms straight out in space Then you do the eagle rock with style and grace Swing your foot way 'round then bring it back, Now that's what I call "Ballin' the Jack."
