Story behind the song
Pulling from the classic Rosebud episode of the Simpsons, the Ramones declared, "This gig sucks. Up yours Springfield." This became our catch-phrase for any of the crappy gigs we wound up playing. We took all of the woes of being a struggling band and wrapped it up into this gem.
