Story behind the song
The 2nd verse was written on the castle walls (place where we play football). They phoned the police about me and showed the police my lyrics on the wall and they took photos of it as evidence even though I didn't do anything wrong and they got me angry so this was my response though my music. The sons were throwing stones at us whilst we were playin' football and we told them to stop and they wouldn't and they kept doing it and they had there friend with them as well joining in. Then someone pushed one of them down the bank and he went home crying and we was all laughin'. Jus cos I was laughin' and I had nothin' to do with it he fetched his dad and told that it was me that pushed him and I was no where near him. His dad was walking towards me, threatened me and wanted a fight with me, advancing towards me with anger and I was backing off. This is the kinda sh*t I had to deal with and I was just a little skinny 17 or 18 year old at the time mindin' my own business who just wanted to have fun and then you get people who come and spoil it. I was so scared at the time cos I was the kinda person who didn't like trouble and his dad was like much, much bigger than me, a developed grown man and I wasn't even a grown man at the time, just a teenage kid still growin'. So I had no choice but to respond this way lyrically cos that was what I was good at, music was the only thing I had to explain the things happening in my life so people can hear it, it takes it all off of my chest then I can breathe again. It is a better way doing this rather than doing something physical where you could seek revenge and seriously hurt or kill someone but I ain't the type of person to look for an excuse to fight and have charges to my name or even go to prison, that is something I want to avoid all my life, I could of easily took that route with the anger inside of me but I took the lyrical option so in that way the whole block can hear it then that is good enough revenge for me, I have succeeded cos after that I had no trouble off them again, it worked and it made them quiet, embarassed them messing with me, put it this way, how would you like it if someone put a song out about you. You wouldn't like it at all, it is highly offending and that is something that will be around forever to haunt you as you listen to it and a bruise is temporary, if I hit you it would of worn off and then no one will see your black eye and then it will be forgotten or either you will seek revenge back and then it will be a never ending cycle. I was so close to puttin' their windows through but I kept my cool and did it this way, now I get the last laugh. It's all history now but back then was war. And if you in particular from this song is actually reading this then all that I am doing is putting my whole life up on here, in my music years from 1999 onwards, I ain't got beef now but i'm just showing the world who I was, what I was and what I am all about, people need to know me as a person as well as just an artist and therefore they need to know what I have been through in my life and it so happens that you was one obstacle I had to face and I dealt with it in my own way which is a good example for others to follow instead of resorting to violence etc.
