Man's best bryophyte. Only musical.
Mossdog is the creation of a woman with a synthesizer, a computer, a great deal of passion, and virtually no musical theory training. She has a lot of wonderful friends who back her up, and she appreciates them all.

Story behind the song
The title is inspired by two Tarot cards -- Trump III (the Empress) and Trump XII (the Hanged Man). The pair together are significant of Isis and Osiris. The piccolo and bass clarinet respectively represent these personas, and the song is about the rebirth of hope.
Lyrics
Although "The Empress and the Hanged Man" is an instrumental, the author oddly insists that there are lyrics. The lyrics begin at the extended piccolo and harp sequence, and are as follows.... --------------------------------------------------- "Show me something worth preserving." He said, "The light in your eyes. That's worth changing for. That's worth striving for. Your love changes me. That's worth preserving." She said, "Hold on, please keep me near, hold on to me." She said, "I can't reach out to you, but hold on to me." "This is something worth preserving," she said, and the ancient tree witnessed, witnessed, witnessed, remembered; witnessed, witnessed, witnessed, remembered.
