Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Fife, Scotland. Writer ballads and pop songs with a contemporary country/ folk twist. Love doing collabs!!
I am a solo artist/guitarist based in Fife in Scotland. I've written a few songs over the years and thoroughly enjoy doing collabs with friends and various very talented writers and musicians I've met here at SC. I have always been a music lover, and always will be. I'd love to be discovered, like the millions of other hopefuls on the various music sites but first and foremost, I love what I do, just wish I could do it full time!!!

Lyrics
THE TALLEST CHAIR (No reservations) by Carol Douglas, Music yours truely :o) Verse 1 If I could turn back time, To when I was a little child, I'd kick out, scream and shout, 'Stead of being meek and mild. Verse 2 I would climb up on the tallest chair, To look you in the eye, Demand that you stop the rot, And apologise. CHORUS You had your chances to try and put things right, By saying sorry in the light of day, I might have forgiven if remorse had been in sight But you called me stupid and turned away again Verse 3 No-one believed what a little girl said, Against the head of the old church choir, What a sad, disjointed life you led, Yet the brightest of us all for sure Verse 4 Fine buildings you helped to design, With super strong foundations, I would have been proud, but I drew the line, With no reservations. Verse 5 You carried on, and hurt your own, How many others , we'll never know, You died an unforgiven, lonely man, I guess you reaped what you had sown. Bridge They say things that hurt you make you strong, For us, yes, on the outside, but not within, Maybe in time we can deal with the anger, But we'll never forget the pain. CHORUS You had your chances to try and put things right, By saying sorry in the light of day, I might have forgiven if remorse had been in sight But you called me stupid and turned away again VERSE 6 The truth always shows itself given time And I made sure you never ever looked after mine. I wasn't stupid 'cause I knew to draw the line, With no reservations. Then or now....I've never been proud And I hold no reservations. © Carol Douglas... Feb. 07
