Singer, songwriter, producer
Twan Howard is a truly gifted and inspiring individual. His face and talent are well known throughout the NEPA area and up and down the East Coast; from Rhode Island to Key West, as he is one of the two front-men for the hybrid cover band “The Collective.” In this capacity alone, he is responsible for producing a no.1 hit that held consistently for over 5 weeks that was all grassroots promoted and funded. His career began well over 20 years ago on the streets of Harlem. An aspiring young singer/songwriter hungry for a creative outlet which turned out to be music and all it encompasses. Classically and traditionally trained, he’s been a part of numerous choirs including the “New York Boys Choir” and the famous “Harlem Boys Choir.” He graduated from both the “Performing Arts” high-school and junior high school and also studied at the “Harlem School of the Arts.” As a vocalist, he has had contracts with major labels like Motown, Arista, and EMI and a few Indy labels as well. He has written, produced, and co-produced music for many artist and producers including Mr. Michael McDonald who is credited with Shaggy’s hit album “Mr. Boombastic!” After winning North East PA’s “American Idol” tour competition, he released his self titled, self produced album with great success. He has opened shows for national’s like The Roots, Talibe Kawlee, Yung Joc, Drake Bell, and Nick Lachey just to name a few!!
