We play original songs in classic styles: Blues Rock, Rock`n`Roll, Blues/Pop, Hard Rock, Country/Pop, Sixties Retro, etc..
Druha smena (The Other Shift) was founded by Milan Vymazal (vocals, keyboards), Zdenek Poklemba (guitars) and Juraj Suchon (drums) in 2001. Jaroslav Novotny (bass) joined a year later. The bands philosophy is based on an argument about who is better: Beatles and Stones (Mr Vymazal asserts so) or Clapton and B.B. King (Mr Poklemba asserts so). The drummer Jirka Suchon usually agrees with everything and the bassist Jarda Novotny with nothing, just to be sure. This is the way how the necessary creative tension is generated. Its results can be heard at various rock (revival) festivals, motorbike meetings, school balls, etc. We must also mention our American friends living in Olomouc, Czech Republic who write the lyrics for us. Thanks a lot, Mick and Michael, for the ongoing excellent collaboration.

Lyrics
Just another Saturday night At the Brooklyn Bar Keys are tuned and sounding alright See a faded star. Every weekend For so many years Sometimes nobody hears But still I play Each night and every day At the Brooklyn bar. Mel sits at the end of the bar Always drinks it slow Some say he could play the guitar Wonder how they know. Every weekend I know just where he`ll be Why can`t somebody see? The way he plays Each night and every day At the Brooklyn bar. (solo-guitar) All the people Saturday night At the Brooklyn bar Sing along `cause the music`s right Catch a shooting star. Every weekend I go a little gray Sometimes I don`t get paid But still I play Each night and every day At the Brooklyn bar At the Brooklyn bar At the Brooklyn bar.
