I had a feelin' from the time I went to bed a nagging deep inside my head that I was dying in the morning... I woke up early and I made a pot of coffee and a I drank the pot of coffee and ate some pops of corn and talked to the mirror with the sweetest affection...made my peace, and got a little freezer confection And, when Death walked in... I said, "Wipe that grin off your bony chin! I'm in the middle of an ice cream sandwich!" He took a seat and set his sickle on the floor, as if he'd done it all before, and it was getting kind of creepy. I tried to make a little pleasant conversation, something 'bout his occupation, knowing soon...he's gonna' reap me. I said, "So, is there any chance of a reprieve?" He just looked at the watch that was under his left sleeve... And he said, "Time for your wreck!" And I said, "Hey! What the heck?! Can't you hold on a sec? I'm in the middle of an ice cream sandwich!" He said that I could take it with me in the car, that I would travel pretty far before I got into the accident. I told him that I guess that sounded pretty fair, and in a moment we were there inside my vehicle, and off we went... I finished off the ice cream sandwich and I knew that in a moment I was through, and I was grateful for the time I had. The radio was playing something by the Beatles, and I find a couple Cheetos on the seat, and though they taste bad... I kinda' like 'em.
