Hi folks. I have added a lot of videos recently. Please take a look!
Hi folks, This site acts as a personal archive of my work. So you'll find my best recordings here as well as some pretty crappy ones. The earliest recordings here were made on simple cassette decks, others were made on mobile phones, some are live recordings made at various gigs over the years, a handful were made in small recording studios, but most of the more recent ones were made at home on a Zoom portable studio, which itself is now rather ancient! If you like a song and want to download it, click on 'Full song info' for that song and you will see the download link. You can also read the lyrics and any background information on the songs that I may have added. All my music is available for free - enjoy :) cheers, Charles

Story behind the song
Bali has had a special place in my heart every since my first visit in 1972... which inspired this song
Lyrics
I'm sitting on Kuta Beach with a Balinese sunset in my reach I feel I can touch the sky I'm happy as mushroom pie Oh I wonder why ! And I'm singing an easy song Kind of making it up as I go along If I can't think of any words I hum Ooooayaaa Humdriliadiadum Ooooayaaa Humdriliadiadum Even though I'm not playing loud Somehow it seems to shake the clouds And I seem to be drawing quite a crowd I'm listening to the sea And I'm happy to feel so free And there isn't a place I'd rather be Now who can say what's right or wrong? The seasons change in a timeless song And the Balinese sunset shines on and on Oooooooh! Coconuts on soft white sand Spirit huts and the Gamelan! Who can say what's right or wrong? Seasons change in a timeless song And the Balinese sunset shines on and on Oooooooh!
