Just your friendly, neighborhood Country F***in' ROCK STAR!!
My name's Travis Bishop. I'm a Country Music singer from Kentucky. I live in Texas right now and I love it there. My music right now is all acoustic, but I've started a band out here in Iraq, 'Dodge City South,' and once we get back to Tx we're going to be playing hard. So stay and listen and be sure to tell me what you think of the songs! Thanks for listening! -Trav

Story behind the song
I wrote this song on June 19th, 2006. It took 15 minutes to write, and yet it is by far the hardest thing I have ever written. The album was already finished. I sang this song to several of my friends, and some of them cried. I had never made someone cry before from a song I had written. My best friend in the world balled her eyes out, and shes the strongest person that I know. I knew that I had something. My buddy has a home studio set up that he lets me record in. The album was already done, so I just recorded it there. It was rough and off timing on some parts, but I was going to copyright it separate from the other songs. As soon as my friends heard that it was on CD they kept asking me for it. They asked me more for copies of this one song than they asked for free copies of the whole CD!! Thats when I made a very hard decision. I already had a ninth song for the album called 'I Hold On,' and I scrapped it for 'I Cant Miss You.' It cost me a hundred extra dollars, but it was well worth it, I think. If I am to only have one song to be remembered for, this is it. Garth Brooks has 'The Dance.' Dierks Bentley has 'Settle For A Slowdown.' God willing, I have 'I Cant Miss You Anymore.' And to think, it almost wasnt on the album. Thanks for listening. -Trav
Lyrics
I Cant Miss You Anymore (c) 2006 Travis Bishop / BMI I stopped thinking bout things that I used to know, And I stopped going to places we used to go, Some days are short, and some are incredibly slow, Never thought it would be this hard to let it all go. But I can't look at that restaurant anymore, With the balcony there on the second floor, Every time I do I see that night we were laughing hard and drinking wine, And every time I pass our little church, I cant describe how much it hurts, Theres too much here that reminds me of before, And I cant miss you anymore. I drove by your house one last time, To see the front porch where you said youd be mine, But theres a new car in the driveway now, Yeah I know its been over a year but that still dont help me anyhow. I can't look at that restaurant anymore, With the balcony there on the second floor, Every time I do I see that night we were laughing hard and drinking wine, And every time I pass our little church, I cant describe how much it hurts, Theres too much here that reminds me of before, And I cant miss you anymore. And as I pull out headed toward the edge of town, I throw that ring out on the ground, I take one last look, And then I drive away. Cause I can't look at that restaurant anymore, With the balcony there on the second floor, Every time I do I see that night we were laughing hard and drinking wine, And every time I pass our little church, I cant describe how much it hurts, Theres too much here that reminds me of before, And I cant miss you anymore. No theres too much here that reminds me of before, And I cant miss you anymore.
