Story behind the song

I had a self realization process over the summer and descided that i wasnt gonna be/or try to be/a gangsta

i got sum collared shirts, stopped (or tried to stop) wearing "gangsta/hood/ghetto/black" clothing.

this song has an intro from Lloyd Bank$'s track called "Backwards." 

This song is just about how i am telling people who may think i am trying to be a gangsta, that i am not one. nor do i think i am.
