Road
This lonely road
How many times must I be tried
Before I pass this test?
Soul
My weary soul
How many times must a man die
Before he's laid to rest?
And when that chariot comes to spirit me away
My death will not have come too soon
I wish that I could only say
The same about the rest of you
And when I meet you in the afterlife
We all will walk a different road
And then the burden will be lifted
From the shoulders of my soul
