Story behind the song
I had this song in my head long before Her Midnight Eye was formed. This was the most difficult for me to record. I was trying to be a keyboard player and was failing miserably so I enlisted the help of our producer, Jeff, who stepped in and did the keyboardy bits in one take. Jeff also did the guitar solos in this song as he is a much faster and more accurate guitarist than me. Under the second verse of this song there is some demonic sounding vocals. This is actually Esme reciting a prayer from the Satanic Bible with strange effects on her voice. I must stress though, we're not satanists!
