Blues rock progression, but upbeat-rock sound. This is actually a song about my day job. It is rather technical and won't make sense to very many people.

As the name Noodlin' Studio implies, this isn't really a band but a compilation of bands. More precisely a compilation of groups of people that I play with and record in my home studio. Each variation of people gets a new 'project' name. But in all of them I am a strong writing influence and play at least one instrument on. I have also recorded/produced projects for traditional bands. I won't put that music here as it doesn't fit into the scope of soundclick. I expect them to make their own soundclick page... Story behind the song
I was asked by someone at work to write a song about BER Blues. BER stands for Bit Error Rate and is measure of performance in disc drives. It basically tells you how many bit errors there are when you read back data you wrote. There is a lot more to it but I wont bore everyone. As implied there are a lot of factors to getting BER to work and it can cause the 'blues' in those of us who deal with it.
Lyrics
Twiddle write clock NULL Twiddle read clock NULL Come-on baby give me a break I need to test TODAY! I've got the clock polarity blues What about write cable length Reset taps Opt-ti-mize Three hundred reg-is-ters and still NULL NULL NULL I've got the B E R blues There's new module in town It's gonna' cure all our problems There'll be no more messin' around Fine time-tuning for all the margin you'll ever need Sweep through Read delay Sweep through write delay Need some caffine to keep me tight She teases me with a -8 [negative eight] Then slaps me with a NULL! I've got the clock polarity blues Still got the B E R blues
