Hello, and welcome to The Blake Albinson Speed Composition Gallery. I'm Blake Albinson and I belong to , a regional chapter of a speed composition society called , or ICS. The main activity in ICS is the "day album", a songwriting game in which each person writes and records six songs in one day. In Bullet Lodge, we added the option to "marathon", which means you can keep going after the initial twenty-four hours, as long as you complete one additional song every subsequent four hours you're able to stay awake. The rules aren't really strict, they're just meant to keep the purpose of the game in mind. This process has been extremely helpful and productive for me musically and creatively. Playing along with the game is a fun motivator, and setting an intention to make music all day lets you indulge in creative play to the fullest extent possible, which is great for the spirit and mind. The element of time constraint prevents excessive deliberation, which sharpens instincts and allows surprises to happen. You can also scratch the itch of experimentation and try things you've thought about doing before, but maybe felt weren't "important" enough to give time to. The material benefit is that you get six new songs as souvenirs each time! It can be frustrating at times, but it's mostly fun and super rewarding. The Gallery serves as public repository for the goods and wares of sibling Albinson. The layout is intended to give the peruser a comprehensive tasting of the many musical flavors which arise from self-inflicted time pressure, sleep deprivation, obsession, forced output, and general creative absurdity. Enjoy.

Lyrics
We're beset with one big stigma: Try to solve the grand enigma Phylogeny guides our progeny as we all evolve So many, upon millennia, only to dissolve Residual individual lives will slip away They may be gone -- life will carry on, blind to their decay No one can know where we come from and where we all go Yet we all try learning what we can, till our own returning People live in fear, embrace disgust Spending time on matters so unjust Convinced their very souls could all combust If they make mistakes in life, although they know they must They're right, of course, in some respects Life revokes, and life rejects Oxygen turns iron into rust Makes the body age and turn to dust Carried off upon a fleeting gust To fortify our fragile planet's ever-folding crust We're all muddled in the middle Saddled with this one big riddle Nonphysical, far too quizzical, still it stays the same Infinity and Divinity share a single name What is the cause? What's behind what's beyond where we pause? Things are so peculiar! It's enough to forever fuel your deep driving force to discover the source of the source Subconscious suggestions never ending the quest for questions
