When you walk down the street and see so many people wasting their lives... no cultural capital... no humanity... no understanding. That's when you need to speak up. Check it out.

Don't touch me. I don't like being touched by your seedy, grasping, bastard hands.

Story behind the song
This song came pretty quickly. I made the beat and the lyrics flowed... I was almost freestylin' the words as I wrote them down. One I had to write.
Lyrics
EMPTY Hook: Empty people, With their empty minds, And their empty rhymes, And their empty lives… Verse 1: Number one; it was a bright sunny day, Lookin for some culture to come my way, But all these empty people show their empty face, And I’m lookin at these eyes with their empty gaze, Trapped inside a body, missing their soul, Never acting shoddy ‘cos these people aren’t whole, And we can’t roll on without a spirit that’s strong, I can’t empathise so I gotta write a song, Does it ever seem to you that people are clones, Wearing uniform clothes and living in uniform homes, Reading uniform books, watching uniform shows, But empty inside where the cold wind blows, Looking for a way to hide their personality, Modelling their face so it appears empty, Take a conscience from underneath the bed, Living like that, they might as well be dead… Hook Verse 2: They try to jive, but they can’t feel a mood, They try to groove, but have no soul to move, Thinking they can broaden their mind on TV, And they rotting inside and feel it deeply, There’s no more poetry beneath their skin, Forgot what made us the powerful kin, Jerry Springer has the answers and they follow him, Or Jesus Christ, cos there’s no spirit within, Seek out religions to explain what they’re too stupid to, Make decisions lacking brains like the stupid do, You can laugh but you know that I’m describing you, It’s a sickness in our hearts; contagious like the flu, Livin’ in a cold world, but they see only light, Fakin’ smiles and calling kids who know the alphabet bright, Pretend to be fulfilled, But they’re empty inside, and the emptiness kills… Hook Verse 3: I see it and it makes no sense to me, Living wrong but thinking that’s the way it’s meant to be, Calling to gods of some race memory, Think we’re blessed because we slaughter our enemies, Where the conscious should be, there’s a vacancy, A vague sense of ephemeral complacency, They live in black and white, no colour in the eye, Heads down, they’ve forgotten how high the sky, It’s so sad, to think that we’ve come to this, Inhabiting a box of commercialised bliss, Once we had dreams; now dreams don’t exist, Just the present, and either side is an abyss, Don’t worry ‘bout the future, move on from the past, That’s what we’ll be saying to the very last, The same mistakes that we thought had passed, Empty from the ashes, right down to the dust… Hook
