This inspired music praises God and His Word; introduces His laws; His doctrines; His decrees; His covenants; and His grace to those who may never be exposed to His written Word otherwise. No glory, honor, or prestige is given to this earthly vessel, only to the One Who deserves it and is worthy of it!

Story behind the song
Our 'day of reckoning' will be upon us whether we like it or not. It doesn't matter if our life ends today, tomorrow or a hundred years from now... every person born into this world will have a day of judgment before the throne of God. The Bible doesn't give enlightenment to every specific detail of Judgment Day but it also doesn't downplay it's reality and the implications it should have on how we live our life. It will happen and we should be prepared for when it comes! Individual judgment is blanketed under a global day of judgment and prophesied as part of the 'end times' package. These events also include a terrible tribulation period; a governmental reign by the "lawless man"; and the second coming of Christ. They all won't necessarily happen simultaneously but are nevertheless grouped into the end times events. The biblical perspective indicates we've been living in the end times 'grace period' since the first coming of Jesus. His first coming is considered the dividing point between the end of the early ages and the beginning of the end times. The final period of the end times has definite signs given ahead of time so we won't be caught off-guard when it arrives. We don't know the exact century, year, month or day when the world as we know it will cease but we are admonished to 'read the signs' and be prepared. We are told that when it happens, Jesus will come like a 'thief in the night' and mankind will not be ready for His coming. Those who are living for self; for the moment; or caught-up in daily concerns will be taken by surprise. Others who are paying attention to the prophesied signs and the Holy Spirit's guidance will be ready and joyful at His triumphant return! It was two thousand years ago Jesus when came to a world drenched in a wicked and depraved condition. When He returns as judge, it will have grown exceedingly worse! We will continue our spiritual degeneration until becoming as vile and corrupt as in the days of Noah and the destructive global flood! Our actions and moral character will be far removed from God's commandments. Biblical truths will be ridiculed. The righteous will be persecuted. Tempers will flair. Anger will burn against both God and man. Our time of independence will be over. Egos will be bruised and our proud vanity will unleash venomous hate to everyone and everything! Instead of falling at God's feet and begging forgiveness, skripture informs that people will curse Him more than ever before! Right up to the end we will have the opportunity to repent and be forgiven, but true-to-form, few will take advantage of God's grace. If there is any question of where hearts are at, our actions and attitude will become blatantly obvious in the coming days of reckoning! All things will be out in the open. Our private actions which were practiced behind closed doors will suddenly be broadcast for all to know... to our shame or to our credit! We will either rejoice with thanks or mourn with regret. Our future in eternity and 'how' we spend it will be based upon the verdict sentenced on this day of trial. Our rewards and/or punishments will be in direct proportion to the quality of our actions, thoughts and deeds while in our earthly body. A different area of our afterlife is 'where' we spend eternity, not to be confused with 'how' we spend it. We will either live in the presence of God, the creator of our universe, or eternally separated from Him and His kingdom. These two extremes, known as 'heaven' and 'hell' are written in our subconscious psyches and all people are innately familiar with their concept. What most people aren't aware of is where we spend eternity is not determined by our good works or our bad deeds, that issue is determined automatically at our conception in the womb! We are born with our afterlife's destination determined in the same way our DNA dictates we will be a human instead of a plant. Our inheritance of sin dictates we simply cannot enter heaven's re
Lyrics
The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. He will judge the world in righteousness; he will govern the peoples with justice. (Psalms 9:7,8) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Co 5:10) Psalms 9:7, Psalms 50:3, Matthew 7:21, Matthew 12:36, Matthew 25:31, 2 Peter 3:3-13, Revelation 19:11-16, Revelation 20:7-15 (Prelude) Angels In the Sky, Angels In the Sky, Angels In the Sky. (Verse 1) The skies are gray and growing dark. Read the signs, it is no lark. (Joel 3:15) The moon is red and turns to blood. No firm ground, there's only mud. (Luke 21:25) The earth is burning and set aflame. As we curse and hate your name. (Chorus) It's Judgment Day, Judgment Day. It's too late to pray, Come judgment day. When trembling starts and the earth begins to quake! (Luke 21:11) (Rev 20:12) Graves burst open and the dead shall jolt awake! (Verse 2) The trip we took would have an end. We welcomed wrong and called him friend. Effort's made to stop the clock. All the pieces now interlock. Wanted no part of your sacrifice. Accepting it would give us life. (Chorus) It's Judgment Day, Judgment Day. It's too late to pray, Come judgment day. When heaven opens wide and angels fill the sky! (Mat 25:31-32) Across the world the lost let out a cry! (Mat 13:40-43) Angels In the Sky, Angels In the Sky, Angels In the Sky. (Luke 9:26) (Verse 3) There's no time left to start again. No time left to make amends. (Mat 12:36) The day has passed to plead our case. Unclaimed sins become our disgrace. We wont appeal or make things right. A life of wrong paints black, not white. (Chorus) It's Judgment Day, Judgment Day. It's too late to pray, Come judgment day. Our shallow defense is burned-up, it's thrown away! Cause no matter what we think, He has the final say! (Verse 4) We chose our side... we thought we won. The game for us was strictly fun. (Romans 2:5) With every goal we claimed victory. Should have fallen down on our knee. Our score climbed high and out of sight. Suddenly He comes like a thief in the night. (Chorus) It's Judgment Day, Judgment Day. It's too late to pray, Come judgment day. His return seems slow to come, we don't shed any tears! (2 Peter 3:9) But to Him one day is like a thousand years! (Mat 13:49,50) Angels In the Sky, Angels In the Sky, Angels In the Sky.
