Differant from my rock take of this, done to Kaley Willow's music as a ballad this time around. Graham

Strictly a demos only performer <br />Jam at live gigs sometimes and have a whole lotta fun doing it
I am writer, and general Mister Nice Guy. I am not a performer but manage to squeak out stuff good enough for others to hear and do better with. Lucky for you lot. I get a few other people to sing and play some of my stuff. I do make Karaoke tracks of my songs and perform them every Saturday night, trotting twix the two local pubs that do karaoke. I have a whole heap more fun than doing covers all the time. Most weeks having at least one new song to try out on the punters. Have seven recorded and getting airplay. And not only on my show Roar Radio either. Backing music for Born To Be Blue is now on a video showing the Esperance service providers. Out soon. More later.

Lyrics
Reason © Copyright APRA Graham Henderson 2003 0-09 secs He gazed across timelessness. Painted by the moon, Searching for any sign. A storm would come though soon He looked at desert grasses. Grazed down to their base. By the cattle that were brought there. When conquerors claimed the place. His eyes ran to the river And walked its dry bed. Now but a nasty scar. Through a country it once fed. He sent a curse across the plain. Good fortune had forgotten And cursed the tread of cloven hoof Conquerors and their cotton. Chorus They are the reason. The river ceased to flow. They are the reason. The grasses fail to grow. They are the reason. This land he claimed to own. Is no longer worth having. And no longer a real home. 1-45 Instrumental 2-02 From his camp he watched daybreak. And tragedy unfold. As sun bared the scars and sores. Some new and some quite old. He tried to place when and why. The land had failed to thrive. For he did recall a distant time. When the desert was alive. Then somewhere, above his rage. Another voice came through. A cry across a barren plain. Where forest trees once grew. It brought remnants of the legends. His mind had clung on to. Reminding him there was a time He was a conqueror too. Chorus changed So maybe the real reason. Seasons and the land have changed. Is because man in every form demand. More than is their fair share.
