Mostly acoustic with electric guitar stabs. Sweeping,'dreamy',layered vocals. A full-on, quick harmony guitar solo and another ending out of nowhere. 'I hate fading endings. I mean, how many songs fade IN?!?!?!?'

Check out my Myspace page at www.myspace.com/SteveHarkins and check out the band I do sound for www.myspace.com/droppintrourocks and my former bands www.soundclick.com/curbshot www.myspace.com/jonasmusicrocks Steve Harkins is a guitarist/keyboardist/singer/songwriter/soundman from Allentown, Pa. "I enjoy all aspects of music creation", he says. "From playing live to producing tracks, to even standing behind the soundboard and letting others take the spotlight. It's all fun. Ya just learn so much on all sides" The three tracks here are a sample of his work. The track, "Pre-script", is a funky instrumental. "It was to be the beginning track for a semi-concept CD that I never got around to finishing." The second track is an acoustic-based song but with a lively beat. '"I Can Dream, Can't I?" was one of my first real attempts at writing a commercial-type song, but don't let that fool ya. It still stands clear as a rock song, with a quick harmony guitar solo, and a great bass line played by Kyle Steed, whom I used to be partners in a studio with', Steve says. "Right In Front Of Your Eyes" is a brand new tune just uploaded. "I had the music for a while. I didn't know what to do with it till I was out shoveling snow one day. Thinking about a recent situation of mine, it finally hit me! Another acoustic-based track, this one is a little more lamenting, yet I'm sure most people could relate to the lyrics." So feel free to download all the songs or just take a listen. They're not too long. An email with your thoughts and curses is always welcome. heh heh Please check back often cuz new songs are always being worked on, probably right now as you read this. And also check out his bands pages, also right here on Soundclick. THANX AND ENJOY!!!!!

Story behind the song
As stated on the main page, this song was one of Steve's first attempts at writing a "pop" song. "It turned out much better than I thought it would, once we got the double tracked vocals on it, and Kyle's inventive bass line keeps the song real."
