MANY CANDLES TO LIGHT Words and Lyrics by Spencer Preston Music and Vocals by Richard Melvin Brown These Lyrics came into being within a few days of the Attack on America: they were truly inspired, capturing the thoughts, the emotions and the feelings of a civilized world suddenly plunged into a swirling vortex of shock and terror and pain and disbelief with an event so horrifying that it was virtually beyond human comprehension. Heaven sent on the first Shabbot [Sabbath] post 9-11. Inasmuch, as I don’t write on the Jewish Sabbath, i.e., Friday evening and all day Saturday, I was obliged to mull the words over in my head; without the assistance of my Word Processor, and as it turns out once the opportunity came along to put the words into print, I never had to make a single change to the Lyrics.
