Deep inside crypt where the men dare not go no more
Carcasses, rotting flesh and the putrid smell of gore
All the epitaphs reading death without remorse
Slabs of concrete seal them off from the world
To their dead eyes the sky eternal black
Maggots infest the body where it once haemorrhaged
Far inside the depths of the catacombs
Monoliths mark what remains found in the mausoleum
One thousand years pass by and all the passers by
Trek across decrepit land to find a monument
A large cement tomb housing one body, unfamiliar
The elegy carved into the side of the gravestone
Five years after their death
Speaks of a love for the deceased laying inside the mausoleum
Slabs of concrete seal them off from the world
To their dead eyes the sky eternal black...
Inside the mausoleum
